Hi HN. I'm Hunter, one of the co-founders of Daydream, a small music research lab. Our research focus is musical control. Musicians steer each other by a shared set of rules: the chart, the groove, who's carrying the melody. We are building control models with real-time performance and an actual understanding of music. Our core real-time engine is open source and can be found here: https://github.com/daydreamlive/DEMON The preview I'm sharing is an in-browser recording studio with virtual session players you can direct in real time. You record, upload, or generate a source track. Then you book "session players" and build your way to a full song.
